ecommerce Index Report 2023 clothing stands out as the reigning champion of
online returns and as reported by many reports return rates range between 25% - 40%. That means if you
order two outfits, one of them is going back. Sizing issues and receiving wrong
items are the major culprits causing returns across online shops. Receiving
wrong items include different design from the ordered item and different fabric,
it’s like receiving pink polka dots when you had ordered jet black trousers.
Now try to recall – if you ever had that moment when you were so scared
of getting the wrong item that you ended up ordering everything in sight just
to be sure you get “the” right one? It's like playing a game of “Will it Fit,
or which one will Fit” with your expectations. I have also faced the same with
online clothes shopping, whether it's general e-commerce sites or those fancy
apparel boutiques. It’s like a lottery where you hope your fashion sense
prevail, and you don’t end up stacking your wardrobe full of “what I was

To be very honest I had given up on ordering online for apparels for

important points to Be Yourself, Express Yourself and a well-fitting,
attractive shirt can do wonders to your persona. Now, I had my reasons
to put on the ordered shirt from Don Vino and get clicked in my own unique easy-going state -
Such are the companies, where you will not mind spending a few
bucks more. What makes the difference in case of Donvino?
1. Comprehensive details of the product that included fabric type and type fit, regular/ slim fit.
2. Detailed and accurate size guide – I followed the size guide keeping aside my love for “M” or “L” sizes.
3. Close to realistic display pictures of the products on site – Too much fancy models and glittering pictures at times multiply the expectations to the extent that buyers tend to expect a Unicorn only to receive a llama and that too with a bad haircut. Unrealistic expectations from display pictures is also one of the primary reasons for returns. However, in my case received products were as per the expectations and in fact the 2nd shirt (the formal one) appeared better than the picture on the site. Full marks for the honest communication.
