SWISS MILITARY - Multipurpose Backpack

I use one backpack for daily office commuting to carry all the stuff I will require throughout the day. And I keep one sleek laptop bag in my office to carry it for formal meetings. So, I am using 2 bags as regular backpack though good looking is pretty big for the formal settings and the laptop bag is too small to carry daily stuff. This has been going on same for last few years.

Fabric & Built Quality –

Backpack is made up of 1000D Polyester – which is extremely heavy duty, versatile and mostly used for outdoor gear meant for rugged conditions. It is very hard to tear as has much better strength as compared to cotton.

·      D means Denier is unit of measurement of linear mass density of fibers, measured as mass in grams per 9000 meters of the fiber. Higher the number, the thicker and stronger is the weave.

Bag is Water resistant, not waterproof. Some caution is necessary while using in rainy conditions.

 

S-shaped and padded shoulder straps distribute load well and are comfortable on back as well. However back panel tends to get sweaty after extended period of usage in hot and humid climate.

 

Weight & Storage Space – 

Approx. 800 gm. and 41 x 29 x 12 cm. make around 15 L of storage space. Padded Laptop & iPad Compartment has enough space to stuff a couple of books/ magazines and a small 200 ml. water bottle. 

Front organizer pocket is like a smart pocket with 7 pockets including one big pocket, 2 zipped sleeve pockets and one pen slot. 3-sided zipper makes stuffing and fetching back the items pretty easy.

 

Outside Quick access pocket with a diagonal zipper is sufficient to keep a novel, few notes which you may like to use while your daily commuting. In short, the bag has sufficient space to accommodate office essentials and adjustable locking 4 buckles on each corner ensures bag remains compact.

Zippers – 

People generally tend to ignore the zippers. But backpacks generally last as long as the zippers and a broken zip will be the last thing you will expect while in middle of usage. This sturdy backpack is provided with covered zip panels. Premium silicon zip pullers make the effort of zipping easier.

Due to covered zip panels, sometimes the zipper gets struck while zipping/ un-zipping, but it effectively provides extra layer of security to avoid any theft during travel in crowded places. So, considering added safety while travelling, I give full marks to the zipper.
